ENGLISH CEMETERY

Well, we went to the cemetery at 9:30. We went by bus. After that, we stopped near the cemetery and we ate some snacks. And then, we entered the cemetery. It´s on Pries Avenue. It has a lot of trees and flowers. We saw a lot of toms, big and small toms. There was a little tomb for a girl called Violetta, and we wrote a lot of information of the tombs and the cemetery.

After leaving the english cemetery, we didn´t want to go to the high school, so, we went to visit the Roman Theatre, and we walked around the center of Málaga. Then, we stopped in the Merced Square, because the teachers wanted to drink something in a bar. María Lagos drank a coffee (I don´t know how she wanted to drink a coffee at 1:00). Anyway... . Ricardo drank a Fanta. While they were talking in the bar, we stayed in the square, talking too. Next, when they came, we all talked together and we took some photos. About 2:30, we decided to came back to school. We went to the bus stop, and we waited for the bus. When it arrived, we got on it, and we arrived at school at 3:05 more or less, after the bell rang. We took our bags of the locker, and we went home.

Before the visit to the cemetery we took some notes about the cemetery. For example: the cemetery´s name is St. George. It´s in Málaga (Av. Pries nº1). It is an Anglican Church. The cemetery has got 1000 graves, its garden is beautiful and romantic. The church is an ancient greek temple with doric columns. The gatehouse is situated beside the entry. The second customer was Robert Boyd. He is one of the most important of people buried here. In the cemetery we saw a lot of graves and we took some notes, for example:
The general consul of the USA is buried in the cemetery: it´s Edward J.Norton. The lines written on Dr. Gerald Maurice Jewson´s tombstone are: "Here lies a man forever kind of gentle loving noble mind and  through our tears we all, can see now god can live in you and me".
The executed  person at Playa de San Andrés was Robert Boyd. This was on 11 December 1831. He was executed for defending the freedom of the village. The Malaga´s English cemetery was founded by William Mark. The worker of the four military men who died in 1940 are Flying officer, Sergeants, and Commander. The famous "amigo de España" writer is Gerald Brenan. Gerald Brenan born in Malta, (Abril 1894). He died in Alhaurin el Grande (1987). A Canadian married couple that are buried is Ethel Mabel Miles and George Gordon Miles. St. Augustine´s quotation is written on Alfred Cecil Gee´s tombstone: "Than hast grated us for thyself and our heart cannot be quieted till it may find repose in thee". The English master painter that is buried in the cemetery was Thomas William Jacques. He lived in the XX century.

AN EVENT

Last week, on Wednesday morning, there was an activity to clean up the beach. Almost of all the students of 3º ESO in Fernando de los Ríos high school, and some teachers, went to Misericordia beach   to clean it up. There, there were other high schools like Litoral, Mare Nostrum or Emilio Prados cleaning the beach too, to make easier the project. Each high school was in an area. My high school were collecting bottles and cans, recycling it in the containers, picking up papers and rubbish and throwing it to the bin when Litoral took photos of the beach. We also saw birds, and played some games in the sand. We obtained a more beautiful beach and it was a great day!

A HEALTHY DIET

I´m a nutritionist and I´m going to give you some advice for have a healthy diet and obtain vitamins, proteins and minerals. If you want to be healthy, you should doing exercise two or three times a week during one hour more or less. You should drink about 2 litres of water a day. I think you should have 4 pieces of vegetables a day, and 5 pieces of fruit a day. Fruit and vegetables contain a lot of vitamins! You must eat each day bread, cereals and potatoes. I think, about 6 servings of these, and pasta and rice too. You should have 3 servings of milk, cheese and yoghurt each day, and you should eat 2 servings of meat, fish, beans and nuts. You shouldn´t eat a lot of junk food, cakes, sweets, butter, candies... because they have fats and they are bad for your health, so, you should have only small amounts, once or twice a week. It´s very easy to try it! You can change your alimentation.

A RESTAURANT REVIEW

Dallas:

Dallas is a restaurant of my neighborhood. It´s in Camino del Pato Street, in Las Pirámides. It´s an informal restaurant when you can eat a lot of types of food, but mostly food with bread (sandwiches, baguettes, "camperos") they are very good. But you can eat pizzas, showarmas, chips, salads, etc. too. I like all types of food, but my favourite food in Dallas is chips with cheese, kebab and yoghurt sauce (Turkey chips). They are really good! The food is always cooked and delicious, and although most of this food is fattening, I don´t care, because sometimes, you can allow a treat. Food isn´t too much oily or spicy, so, they aren´t too bad. There are some desserts. I don´t have tried any of them, but I think they are very good. One thing that I like of Dallas is that you can take out the food for eating at home. It´s great! It´s open all days, but I don´t remember the time when it opens, and when it closes. It´s an excelent restaurant because it´s very good and cheap.
I love it!

MY FAVOURITE TV PROGRAMME/FILM

I watch TV everyday, but films sometimes. I usually watch the programmes that my parents prefer or my brother wants, often cartoons. I´m a little tired of watch always the same. I prefer watching programmes in Telecinco or Cuatro but I haven´t got much time to watch TV a lot. I only watch it when I have lucy or dinner, and some times at the weekend. My favorite TV program me is "Me resbala". It´s about famous persons that do funny things to make laugh the people. My favorite character is Paco León, because he´s very funny and he has a lot of art. I like this programme because it´s funny and it always make you laugh. I like other programmes too, like "Masterchef", because I like cooking, and some music programmes or quiz shows like "Ahora caigo". Now, I haven´t got a favourite film, because I like a lot of films.

TIPS FOR SAVE THE PLANET

1. I switch off the light when I leave a room.
 2. I switch off TVs, DVD players and PCs. I don't leave them on standby.
3. I never leave the fridge door open.
4. I have a quick warm shower, not a long hot one.
5. I turn off the tap when I'm cleaning my teeth.
6. I recycle bottles, paper and plastic.
7. I turn down our central heating.
8. I only use dishwashers and washing machines when they are full.
9. I use low energy light bulbs.
10. I use cars less, use public transport more often, work and cycle more.

MY EXPERIENCE

One day, about two years ago I ha a strange experience. I was in the road when suddenly I´t couldn´t see anything. I heard some voices that said: -What are we going to do with this girl? Must we kill her?-. I was a lot scared.
I couldn´t run away from the place where I was. I think it was a sack. I saw all dark. I don´t remember any more. Only that next, I woke up in a strange street all alone. I thought: What do I do here? . Finally, I went to my house in a taxi.
I told this to my parents and friends, but they didn´t believe me, because it´s a very strange story! But I didn´t yield. I wanted to know who were the persons that caught me, and why they wanted me. It´s an important mission to discover!

But in winter sometimes it´s cold, and in autumn, sometimes it rains, but in general it hardly ever is raining! It´s great!
